Fees for Manuscript Assessments

In terms of cost, prices for a manuscript assessment vary from provider to provider, though generally, an assessment for a 100,000 word manuscript will cost you anywhere between $750 and $1,250. Our price for a manuscript of that size is $650 with a further discount if you fit one of the categories outlined below.

Although it is preferable that you submit a full manuscript for assessment, as that will enable us to consider the structure and cohesiveness of the work as a whole, it is not uncommon for writers to submit a small portion of their work, perhaps a few chapters or so. A limited assessment may be what you are looking for initially so that you can get some feedback at an early stage, before you commit to the many hours of work your full manuscript will require. The choice is yours.

Our prices work on a sliding scale as follows [Note that we offer a 20% discount on these rates for unpublished authors]:

ItemLengthCost
Short Manuscript|For up to 4,000 words|$250
Long Manuscript|For up to 10,000 words|$380
Additional Words |Each additional 10,000 words |$30
